Poetic Description
It clatters with porcelain wing covers,
and carries the cradles of the future in its belly.
The stork beetle arrives when no one is looking,
and leaves a quiet 'ping' out of nowhere.
Scientific Note
The stork beetle was originally thought to be a misunderstanding between zoology and midwifery. Today we know: It doesn't deliver babies – it delivers ideas. And only on Mondays.
