It's all just noise
there's no connection
I can't feel the love
I can't feel the affection
Everyone's talking at once
with only a few replies
even then, it's all
it's all for the eyes
(or, I, I, I )
Where is the love,
where is the touch
where is the eye contact
that means so much
where is the breath
where's the embrace
where is the true love
we crave and need
face to face?
The surface is flat
the light is glaring
sharing feels
like a sort-t
of daring
for it goes out to strangers
as well as those you love
you can feel it at the edges
an uneasiness,
fear of the unknown
from those
in the dark
plus the loneliness
is always apparent
no matter the content
a single heart, and
fingers tapping
scrolling
far apart
from those
you love.
It's all just noise
there's no connection
