I wake up in the mornin’ to the sun, golden light begun,
Songbirds singin’ praises to the dawn, their melody goes on.
Children laughin’, playin’ in the park, their joy a sacred spark,
Folks out walkin’ dogs along the way, greetin’ a brand-new day.

And I’m thinkin’ to myself, oh, this could be the day,
The day my Lord returns to lead His children all the way.
My heart’s alight with hope, I’m ready for His call,
For Jesus, my Redeemer, He’s the Savior of us all.

Jesus, Lamb of God, who bore the weight of shame,
Begotten Son, He came to earth, His mercy to proclaim.
The cross He carried high for every sin I own,
His blood, it washed me clean, and now I’m not alone.

Salvation’s gift is grace, through a heart that’s turned to Thee,
Repentance opens wide the door, His love will set you free.
Just call upon the name of Jesus, lift your voice and sing,
He’s waitin’ with His arms outstretched, our everlasting King.

Oh Lord, forgive my wanderin’, the sins that weighed me down,
I’m kneelin’ at Your mercy, where Your grace and love are found.
I once was lost in darkness, but Your light has made me see,
Was blind to all Your glory, now Your truth has set me free.

The sky’s a canvas painted with the promise of His word,
Each breeze a whisper of His love, in every breath it’s heard.
My soul is stirrin’ joyful, yet I’m anxious for the sign,
To see my Savior comin’ with His kingdom’s holy shine.

“Oh, my child, my child,” I hear His gentle voice,
“Today you’ll walk in paradise, forever to rejoice.
I’ve waited with my arms held wide since the day that you were born,
Come home, my son, to glory—leave behind the weight of scorn.”
